Finally Ivan Semwanga can fly back to South Africa after ‘bleeding’ $16,000 roughly (UGX54, 400,000) to a one Saddat to settle the matter out of court.
It should be noted that Ivan’s passport was confiscated by police last week after an assault case was filed against him at Jinja Road police station on 24th December.
This was after Ivan poured alcohol on Sadat who is by the way a Muslim.
Sadat, who is also a sangoma, revealed that in the scuffle, he was roughed up by Ivan’s bouncers and lost $6,000 in cash, an Iphone6 and a golden chain worth $10,000 when he was thrown out of the club.
After filing the case, Ivan was arrested and had his travel documents confiscated before he was released to prevent him from fleeing town before the case is resolved.
A seemingly bitter Sadat insisted on Ivan paying his lost cash and compensating him for his lost items which amounted to over Shs50m.
We are told Ivan begged police to allow the two settle their issues outside court.
Info reaching us has it that Ivan was forced to cough Shs54m so that he could get his passport and be able to fly back to South Africa at this peak season when his colleges are opening and registering new students.
It was earlier revealed that Ivan hates Sadat with a passion because he believes it was him that linked (Pimped) his wife Zari Hassan to Tanzanian singer Diamond Platinumz.
However, we have also established that there is more than meets the eye regarding their feud.
It is said that the feud between the two started two years back in August 2014 when they over a girl only identified as Hallimah commonly known as beautiful in club Guvnor.
