LIRA: Ministry of Public Service has sent a team of Construction Engineers to Lira district to give a better sight on the dilapidated structures of fallen ex-president Wacha Hunter Olwol.
Wacha and two other Judges of Supreme and Courts of Appeal (Saulo Musoke and Nyamuconco) ruled Uganda for eight months in what was termed then as Presidential Commission.
He passed on aged 94 on Tuesday from a Kampala Hospital and government is taking responsibility concerning his burial slated for this Sunday.
Rt. Hon. Dr. Rhuakana Rugunda, the Prime Minister of Uganda, revealing the government commitment in his letter dispatched to Ugandans through Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanya on Tuesday, said the fallen leader will be offered a state Burial.
In an exclusive interviews with this reporter from his office on Thursday morning, Ngobi Agrey, the Chief Administrative Officer for Lira district confirmed that the team from the Ministry of Public service was dispatched.
“I have just been talking to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry who told me of the team on its way. They will revamp the buildings and set up tents,” Ngobi says.
According to Ngobi, the team will work alongside Engineers from Lira district to ensure the face-lifting jobs finish on time.

As expected, hundreds of thousands of mourners both within and outside the country are expected to bid farewell to the fallen leader.
Awaiting official statement, President Yoweri Museveni is expected to be the chief mourner on Sunday at Apingomo village, Banya parish.
